What We Believe

The 28 Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church — our understanding of Scripture for faith and daily life.

Sola Scriptura — Bible only

Fundamental Beliefs rooted in Scripture

Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as our only creed. These 28 Fundamental Beliefs describe how we interpret Scripture for daily application — covering God, humanity, salvation, the church, Christian living, and the hope of Christ's return.

As ASA UR Nyarugenge, we hold these teachings in common with Adventists worldwide. The summaries below follow the official statements published by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
