02 God

There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. He is infinite and beyond full human comprehension, yet He has revealed Himself sufficiently for our salvation and trust.

The Godhead consists of the eternal Father, the eternal Son, and the eternal Holy Spirit. These three Persons are co-equal and co-eternal, united in purpose, will, and love. They participated together in creation, in the plan of redemption, and in the work of sustaining and restoring the universe.

The doctrine of the Trinity is central to Christian faith. It affirms that God is one in essence and three in Person. This mystery does not contradict reason but transcends it, calling believers to worship the one true God who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Him we find the source of all life, truth, and love.
