The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In these writings God has committed to humanity the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will, the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history.
The Scriptures are the supreme, authoritative, and infallible revelation of God's will. They are the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested. The Bible is the living Word of God, through which the Holy Spirit speaks to the mind and heart of the believer. Because the Bible is the inspired Word of God, it is without error in all that it teaches and affirms.
We are called to study the Scriptures diligently, to receive them with faith, and to apply their teachings to every area of life. Through the Word of God we come to know Jesus Christ, who is the central theme of Scripture. The Bible reveals God's character, His purposes for humanity, and His plan of redemption. It is the foundation of faith and the guide for Christian living.
