On the new earth, in which righteousness dwells, God will provide an eternal home for the redeemed and a perfect environment for everlasting life, love, and joy. The great controversy will be ended, and sin will be no more. All things, animate and inanimate, will declare that God is love; and He shall reign forever.
The Bible closes with a vision of the Holy City coming down from heaven, of God dwelling with His people, and of death, sorrow, and pain passing away. The redeemed will live in face-to-face fellowship with God, continuing to grow in knowledge and love throughout eternity. Creation will be restored to its original beauty and purpose.
This hope shapes how we live today. We work for justice, peace, and healing on earth as foretastes of the world to come. The promise of the new earth assures us that God's purposes will not fail and that every sacrifice made for Christ will be rewarded. We look forward to that day when God makes all things new and His kingdom fills the earth forever.
