06 Humanity

God has revealed in Scripture the authentic account of His creative activity. In a recent six-day creation the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Thus He established the Sabbath as a perpetual memorial of the completed creation.

The first two chapters of Genesis present God's creative work as purposeful, orderly, and good. Humanity was created last, crowned with dignity and given dominion over the earth as stewards under God. The world did not arise by chance but by the word of God's power, reflecting His wisdom and design.

Creation declares the glory of God and provides the foundation for human identity, responsibility, and worship. Because God made us, we belong to Him and are accountable to Him. The Sabbath memorial reminds us weekly that life, time, and all good gifts come from the Creator, inviting us to rest in Him and honor His authority.
