Marriage was divinely established in Eden and affirmed by Jesus to be a lifelong union between a man and a woman in loving companionship. For the Christian a marriage commitment is to God as well as to the spouse, and should be entered into only between partners who share a common faith.
The family is a sacred institution, designed to provide nurture, stability, and love. Parents are called to teach their children the ways of the Lord and to model faith by example. Children are a heritage from the Lord and deserve care, respect, and guidance.
When the home reflects the love between Christ and His church, it becomes a place of safety and spiritual growth. Though human relationships are affected by sin, God's grace can heal, strengthen, and restore families. The church supports families through teaching, counsel, and fellowship, recognizing that strong homes contribute to a strong community of faith.
