We are God's stewards, entrusted by Him with time and opportunities, abilities and possessions, and the blessings of the earth and its resources. We are responsible to Him for their proper use. We acknowledge God's ownership by faithful service to Him and our fellow human beings, and by returning tithes and giving offerings for the proclamation of the gospel and the support and growth of His church.
Stewardship is an expression of gratitude and trust. God gives generously, and we respond by managing what we have received with wisdom and integrity. Tithing—returning one tenth of our income—is a biblical practice that recognizes God as the source of all blessings. Offerings beyond the tithe support mission, compassion, and the work of the church.
Christian stewardship extends to every area of life: how we use our time, care for our bodies, relate to others, and protect the environment. As stewards, we live with eternity in view, investing in what lasts and using earthly resources to advance God's kingdom.
