The Lord's Supper is a participation in the emblems of the body and blood of Jesus as an expression of faith in Him, our Lord and Saviour. In this experience of communion Christ is present to meet and strengthen His people. As we partake, we joyfully proclaim the Lord's death until He comes again.
Preparation for the Lord's Supper includes self-examination, repentance, and reconciliation with others. The service is open to all who have professed faith in Christ and are living in harmony with His teachings. The bread and the fruit of the vine symbolize Christ's broken body and shed blood, given for the redemption of the world.
The Lord's Supper nurtures faith, renews commitment, and binds believers together in fellowship. It points backward to the cross and forward to the marriage supper of the Lamb. In remembering Christ's sacrifice, we are strengthened to live as His faithful disciples until He returns.
